Qualifications
Maureen Ni Fiann B.A.Dip.Psych.MBACP UKCPI am a psychosynthesis counsellor holding a Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling and Therapy. I have worked in private practice for over ten years, and have worked in NHS GP surgeries for six years. As a result, I have extensive experience of successful outcomes in both short term or brief therapy (6 sessions) and long term on-going therapy (12 or more sessions).
In addition to my psychosynthesis training I have completed courses in body psychotherapy at the IBP Institute in Zurich and courses in The Five Rhythms Movement Therapy Practice. I have also worked as a teacher and in business, am a mother and a grandmother and have personally experienced Jungian, gestalt and psychodynamic therapy.
I am an accredited member of BACP, The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and am registered as a psychotherapeutic counsellor with UKCP, The UK Council for Psychotherapy. I also have specialist training in couples therapy.
In all my work I abide by the professional codes of ethics of the BACP and UKCP.
